!The Challenge
Supplement Hub Asia is a smaller subsidiary from Supplement Hub Global. The former webshop was a copy from the main site and set up as a headless ecommerce storefront to a Shopify Plus backend store. Because the headless front-end codebase was managed and owned by a 3rd party agency, the client experienced many difficulties to quickly change and improve the site to its local needs. Adding new languages, other payment methods or improving the product detail page for mobile viewports were hard to accomplish due to these restrictions.
The Solution
Rebuilding the store to a Shopify native front-end offered the benefit for the client to be able to control and own the entire shop, removing the dependency from 3rd party vendors. As such, we were able to rebuild the Asian store to Shopify's Dawn theme using Instant.so theme builder. As the main Supplement Hub site had already created the design elements in Instant.so, it was a fairly simple exercise to rebuild the entire store from headless to native Shopify. Within 2 days we were able to deploy the new site.
