Challenge
Loints of Holland is a sustainable shoe brand, designed in the Netherlands, produced in Europe and started in 1918. As strong advocates of a healthy lifestyle they design shoes that symbolize endless wearing comfort.
Being a traditional retail company Loints of Holland only recently started with their own ecommerce channel: the official Loints of Holland webshop. Build on the Magento 2.0 CMS they have managed to grow quite quickly since the webshop launched in 2020.
Sustaining a strong user experience in multiple countries is a challenge for any company, especially when you’re developing the entire ecommerce platform along the way. As a result lower (page) loading speed was increasingly challenging the local marketing and growth efforts.
Solution
Zinzo aligned all the technical, marketing and operational stakeholders towards a single objective: improving the webshops’ performance. During a 1.5 week development sprint several core issues were addressed, moving from back-end to front-end optimisation.
The implemented custom solutions included PHP and caching improvements, changing the caching assets and cdn, addressing the media file usage and optimizing the js/css requests from a mobile first approach using custom code for lasting effect over all pages.
Results - instant conversion boost
Core web vitals: All core web vitals went from failed to passed, with page speed scores above 80.
Instant conversion rate boost: Immediately Organic Search conversion rate increased with +14% and the Generic Paid Search traffic also experienced a +81% conversion rate improvement.
Less spend, more impressions: Total page impression increased by 50% at 10% lower cpc spend.
